DevSecOps Challenges in Secure Environments

Software development for the services and throughout DoD is not one-size-fits-all or one security level for all. This webinar will explore the practice of cross domain software development and the impact it has on the speed and effectiveness of new code deployment. In secure environments, software development typically is done on low-secure side systems. Once ready, the software must be ‘moved’ to highly secured, classified systems. These systems are ‘air-gapped’, meaning there is no connectivity to move the files from the low-side to the high.

The challenge to deploy from and to disconnected secure networks is one faced by many DOD organizations today. It is complicated because all the tools and integrations must be maintained in each secure network.

However, GitLab with Jasper Solutions have devised a solution that permits DoD programs to easily develop code on the low-side and move it to production on the high-side.

In this session, attendees will:

  • Learn the keys to automating deployments between logically disconnected secure networks
  • Learn from Jasper Solutions, new insights into lessons learned from a practical real-world implementation
  • Learn how this cross domain development can lead to a more productive software development process delivery and faster speed to mission enabling you to meet mission requirements quicker

  • Joe McKairnes, Federal DoD Sr. Solution Architect, GitLab
  • Andy Patel, CEO, Jasper
