LGS Innovations has won a five-year, $81.5 million contract to help the Army build a new single network for secure delivery of data across the Asia-Pacific theater.
The NETMOD Pacific data project is intended to touch at least 100 sites with lower numbers of entry and exit points for the data, LGS said Tuesday.
Herndon, Virginia-based LGS will perform engineering, furnish-and-install, security and testing work on non-classified Internet Protocol router network switching equipment and related components for the project.
Additional services include regional support and delivery of unclassified network services, plus help to migrate the Army’s data network into an IP packed switch-based infrastructure.
