Work on Next Generation Enterprise Network is still at a halt, resulting from protests filed by Harris Corp. and Computer Sciences Corp. after the $3.5 billion contract was awarded to Hewlett-Packard Co. in June.
The Government Accountability Office expects a response from the Navy by Aug. 14, reported Washington Technology, a Defense Systems sister publication. Harris Corp. and Computer Sciences Corp. will then have 10 days to respond to the Navy.
The most likely argument for the protests is that the price HP bid was too risky to meet the contract requirements, according to Washington Technology.
