Navy withdraws $40M contract from SAIC in response to bid protest

The Navy withdrew a $40.2 million contract awarded to Science Applications International Corp. on July 25 in response to a protest filed by BAE Systems. The contract, known as the Family Special Operation of Vehicles, involves outfitting vehicles with improved command and control equipment.

The Government Accountability Office said BAE Systems cited a conflict of interest on SAIC’s part, reported Washington Technology, a Defense Systems sister publication. GAO made no ruling on the merits of the grounds of the protest.
