DISA postpones $427M cloud services buy

The Defense Information Systems Agency has quietly postponed the $427 million buy of cloud storage services until after the current fiscal year.

The request requires cloud-based storage, virtual machine, database and web hosting services, replacing the five-year, $700 million contract awarded to Vion Corp. in 2007.

The initial solicitation was released on July 17. A revised date for release of the solicitation has not been announced.
