Army selects contractor for tactical intel project

The Army has awarded Science Applications International Corp. a $37 million contract to support multi-functional teams using the Vigilant Pursuit system, the company
announced July 5.
Under the contract, the company will furnish system design, production, testing, delivery, spares, new equipment training and field service representative services, the company said.
Vigilant Pursuit is a tactical system that consists of two Mine Resistent Anti Personnel All Terrain vehicles, one of which is designated as a signals intelligence tactical pursuite vehicle and the other as a human intelligence tactical pursuit vehicle.
The work will be performed for the Army Research Development and Engineering Command's Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate, the company said.
