Northrop Grumman and Italian defense company Finmeccanica SpA have secured a contract to supply an integrated cybersecurity package to NATO, the companies said.
The contract awarded by the NATO Consultation, Command and Control Agency is to develop, implement and support the NATO Computer Incident Response Capability (NCIRC), they added.
The contract, worth around EUR 50 million, is for an extensive managed service to provide information assurance to around 50 NATO sites and headquarters throughout 28 countries worldwide, they noted, adding that the NCIRC will provide the capability to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities rapidly and effectively.
