The Aberdeen Proving Ground will hold back-to-back ceremonies Sept. 15 to mark the completion of the transfer of 11 organizations to the facility as part of the Base Realignment and Closure process and also the establishment of the C4ISR Materiel Center of Excellence at the proving ground following its relocation from Fort Monmouth, N.J., and other locations, the Army said Sept. 13.
The C4ISR ceremony, which will highlight the largest mission influx for the facility's community, will acknowledge the tradition of C4ISR created at Fort Monmouth and anticipate the new future of C4ISR at the proving ground.
C4ISR moved 7,260 employee positions, 120 laboratories and 80,000 pieces of equipment to the proving ground.
