Inaugural Defense Systems Summit to focus on network security

Defense Systems magazine will host its inaugural Defense Systems Summit Sept. 7 at the Crystal City Marriott at Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Va.
The one-day event will center on the defense of military and critical national infrastructure networks. It is open to and free for all government and military personnel. There is a fee for all industry attendees. Registration is required and may be completed by clicking here. The registration desk is open at 7 a.m.
Speakers at the event will include: Major General Alan Lynn, chief of signal, U.S. Army Signal Corps, commanding general of the Signal Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon; Robert Carey, deputy assistant secretary of defense, Department of Defense; Richard Hale, chief information assurance executive, Defense Information Systems Agency; Dennis McCallam, director of IS Cybersecurity, Advanced Technology, CSSLP and Distinguished Technical Fellow, Northrop Grumman Information Systems; Daniel Bradford, deputy to the commander and senior technical director, NETCOM/9th Signal Command, United States Army, SES; and John Garing, vice president, ViON Corporation.
Featured sessions will include Military Responses to Advanced Persistent Threats; Stuxnet Lessons Learned; Military Cloud Computing and Security; A New Direction in Cyber for US Signal Command; and Educating Cyber Warriors for Today and Tomorrow.
