Air Force schedules IT upgrade at 4 bases
Contractor will install extensive cabling, networking components

The Air Force has awarded Harris Corp. a quartet of Air Force contracts worth more than $12 million combined to upgrade the service’s IT infrastructure.
Harris will install core IT infrastructure upgrades through extensive cabling and networking components at four Air Force bases: Malmstrom AFB, Mont.; Creech AFB, Nev.; Randolph AFB, Texas; and Vance AFB, Okla.
The work team includes subcontractor Trans-Tel Central Inc.
The contracts come from the Air Force's Electronic Systems Center through the Cyber Integration Division, Information Transport Systems Program Management Office under the Network-Centric Solutions contract vehicle.
