The Air Force has awarded a contract with a potential value of $900 million over five years to General Dynamics C4 Systems to furnish ground terminals that will deliver critical information via voice, data and video to mobile users on the battlefield, the company said Sept. 1.
Under the agreement, GDC4S will deliver 1,500 transportable ground receive suites and 1,100 retrofit kits for systems already in the field.
The Global Broadcast Service transportable ground receive suites include next-generation terminal antennas and broadcast management and cryptographic equipment packaged in mobile cases.
