Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger is calling for the U.S. and China to form a cyber détente in which both nation's come to an agreement for easing tensions and mitigating cyber intrusions on each other's computer networks, writes Philip Ewing of DOD Buzz.
The proliferation of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons have been slowed by these sort of agreements, Ewing writes, so why couldn't one help deter the spread of viruses, nab international cyber bandits and the like, the article said.
China's network intrusions might be a price worth paying, the article states, as it continues an espionage environment in which both governments are able to keep close tabs on each other.
