Military test engineers have successfully completed the testing in a laboratory setting of the Soldier Radio Waveform to communicate real-time voice and data information across waveforms installed on radio platforms from multiple vendors, the
Joint Program Executive Officer for the Joint Tactical Radio System announced June 14.
In testing at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Atlantic in Charleston, S.C., test engineers planned, created and managed an SRW network comprised of four different types of SRW-capable JTRS radios.
The test results indicated that all participating radios were able to form a network and exchange IP data in an interoperable manner.
