Clock might be ticking on 'cyber Pearl Harbor'

Hidden malware already might lurk in U.S. critical infrastructure

China and other nations might already have managed to insert hidden malware in the U.S. national power grid and other systems that they could activate at any time, reports UPI.com.

Cybersecurity and intelligence experts have told Congress that a "cyber Pearl Harbor" is a distinct possibility and that it might take an incident of that magnitude to wake up Americans to the seriousness of the threat.

“The odds are we will wait for a catastrophic event and then overreact, “ said Mike McConnell, former national intelligence director and cybersecurity specialist.
