The Army has tapped Science Applications International Corp. to provide a nonintrusive inspection system for vehicles and cargo under a $97.9 million contract.
Under the contract, SAIC will furnish 50 mobile gamma-ray imaging systems designed to perform in military conditions, the Defense Department said Nov. 25. The Army plans to use them for nonintrusive inspection of vehicles and cargo. The company also will provide maintenance and support for the systems, DOD said.
