Aircraft test squadron gets contract support

Aecom Technology Corp. will provide support to an aircraft squadron focused on research and development under a one-year, $52 million task order.

Under the contract, Aecom will furnish aircraft maintenance services for Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 31, also known as VX-31. The unit is based at California’s China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station.

The contractor will provide organizational and intermediate-level maintenance support for VX-31’s mission of testing and evaluating current and future aircraft and related systems in the research and integrated development flight test phases.

The work will be done under the Air Force’s Contract Field Teams program, which offers inspections, maintenance and modifications of U.S. aircraft and ground vehicles deployed at home and abroad.

Aecom, of Los Angeles, specializes in professional and technical management support services.
