Award winners of LandWarNet 2008 named

As it does every year at LandWarNet, the Army presented its awards for superior service to the cause of signals. The following are the 2008 winners:


Director’s Award for Leaders of Influence: Daniel Landin, Headquarters, Army Research Laboratory, White Sands Missile Range, N.M.

Information Assurance Professional of the Year (Government Civilian): Bonnie Buck-Wade, Installation Management Command, Presidio, Calif.

Information Assurance Professional of the Year (Military): COL Frederick Henry, DAIG IA Compliance Div.

Information Assurance Professional of the Year (Government Contractor): Wendell Moon, STG, in support of the regional chief information officer office, South Korea.

Most Innovative Project and Implementation 2008: Fort Carson, Colo., DOIM IA Div., IMCOM Regional West.

<strong>2008 DOIM AWARDS </strong>

CONUS: Fort Caron DOIM office, Colo., for implementing DIACAP processes and standards.

OCONUS: Fort Richardson DOIM, 59th Signal Battalion, Alaska, for developing the first Army Golden Master reporting tool.


E-Army Initiative: Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) program.

<strong>NETCOM AWARDS </strong>

NETCOM/9th SC(A) Solider of the Year: SPC Robert Edwards Jr., A Co, 72nd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 7th Signal Brigade, 5th Signal. Command.

NETCOM/9th SC(A) NCO of the Year: SGT Lisa Morales, SWA-DSCS Company, 54th Signal Battalion, 160th Signal Brigade.
