New president assigned to National Defense University

The Defense Department's recent general officer assignments include new posts to the National Defense University and acquisition positions.

Maj. Gen. Gregg F. Martin has been assigned to serve as president of NDU in Washington, D.C. He previously served as the 48th commandant of the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, Pa.

Brig. Gen. Camille M. Nichols, who has been selected for the rank of major general, has been assigned to commanding general of Army Contracting Command in Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Nichols leaves her position as program executive officer in Fort Belvoir, Va.

Col. Paul A. Ostrowski has been selected for the rank of brigadier general. Ostrowski has been assigned to be a program executive officer in Fort Belvoir, Va. He previously served as assistant deputy for acquisition and systems management in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology in Washington, D.C.
