QinetiQ unveils Integrated Warrior System to meet need for single end-user device

QinetiQ North America recently unveiled an integrated system designed to enable warfighters to manage multiple mission systems through a single end-user device.

The Integrated Warrior System (IWS) enables warfighters to manage multiple mission systems through smart phones, tablets or other tactical computers, the company said.

IWS is designed to increase situational awareness and improve access to critical mission resources by creating a personal area network for warfighters, the company said.

Using IWS, Warfighters can plug-and-play a wide variety of peripherals such as smart phones, computers, mission critical software applications and gunfire detection systems through a lightweight, wearable hub.

IWS supports operations by integrating data and power from diverse systems, the company said. Its battery power management configuration ensures that each connected device can operate in remote or hostile areas.

The company exhibited IWS at the Soldier Tech Expo in Arlington, Va.
