9 to compete for $997M in Army missile defense systems work

The Army Space and Missile Defense Command has selected nine firms to compete for $997 million worth of task orders in support of its mission, the Army said Jan. 3.

The companies will furnish various systems engineering and technical assistance services, the service said.

  • Sigmatech Inc.
  • System Studies and Simulation
  • Warfighter Solutions

The Army Space and Missile Defense Command conducts space and missile defense operations and provides planning, integration, control and coordination of Army forces and capabilities in support of U.S. Strategic Command missions. The organization also serves as the Army force modernization proponent for space, high-altitude and global missile defense; operational integrator for global missile defense; and research and development component for mission-related efforts.

The location of the work will be determined on each order. The contract expires Dec. 20, 2017.
