AAI wins Army contract to support remote video terminal

AAI has won a $22 million contract to furnish contractor logistics support for the Army's One System Remote Video Terminal (OSVRT), the Defense Department said Dec. 20.

OSRVT is a modular video and data system that enables warfighters to remotely downlink live surveillance images and critical geospatial data directly from joint operations tactical unmanned aircraft systems and manned platforms, according to the company. In addition, the OSRVT's intuitive graphical user interface delivers battlespace information in live video or annotated map views, and allows users to save, export and analyze data.

The OSRVT delivers real-time situational awareness with a modular hardware design that can be configured easily for manpack, mounted, stationary, airborne and maritime applications.

Work will be performed at contractor facilities in Hunt Valley, Md., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 30, 2013. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
