Cubic opens office at Wright-Patterson

Cubic Defense Applications has opened a new office in Beavercreek, Ohio, that will enable it to support and pursue new training and tactical communications business at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the company said Nov 5.

Cubic recently received a two-year contract to deliver expanded live training capabilities at the National Center for Medical Readiness at Wright State University, the company said. New instrumentation being supplied by Cubic will enhance the ability to track personnel and vehicles during live training and mission rehearsal exercises related to disaster response, special operations and other quick-reaction situations.

The company also is furnishing new instrumentation in collaboration with the Alliance for Human Effectiveness and Advancement, an industry consortium led by the Wright State Research Institute, the company said. The alliance's mission is to harness the power of technology and collaboration to unleash human performance and build greater capability, efficiency, health and safety in operations.

Cubic's new Ohio office is co-located with the Wright State Research Institute in Beavercreek. John Jannazo, Cubic's senior director for Air Force Programs, will oversee the office. Timothy Patton and Chris Evans will furnish program management and engineering for the new enterprise.
