Next Tier Concepts to improve web portal for JIEDDO

Next Tier Concepts has won a $8.98 million contract from the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization to furnish enterprise portal and related services, the Defense Department said October 18. If all options are exercised, the contract will be worth a total of $14.22 million over a two-year period, company officials said.

Under the contract, the Vienna, Va., professional services company will provide strategic and technical support to advance JIEDDO's governance model for knowledge management. The company also will build, operate and maintain the organization's portal.

The company will perform the contract work over a two-year period in Arlington, Va.
