Navy taps five for $750M C4ISR work

The Navy has selected five contractors to vie for upwards of $750 million in task orders for command and control work over a five-year period, the Defense Department announced Oct. 10.

The contract winners will furnish engineering, procurement, installation, maintenance and technical support for a variety of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for initiatives and programs.

The companies that won indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts are:

  • BAE Systems
  • DRS 
  • General Dynamics 
  • Engility
  • M.C. Dean

Work  is expected to be completed by October 2013, but could extend to October 2017 if all options are exercised.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.
