Marines explore unmanned choppers for ship-to-shore resupply

The Marine Corps has issued a request for information seeking ideas for unmanned, vertical lift ship-to-shore resupply, according to a June 4 FedBizOps notice.

The Marines want concepts for unmanned choppers that would be able to haul 500 pounds of cargo to shore from ships stationed as far away as 50 nautical miles, the notice said.

Responses are due July 2, the notice said.
