Poseidon P-8A delivered to Navy, ready for BAMS integration

Naval Air Station Jacksonville celebrated the first delivery of the new, network-enabled P-8A Poseidon multi-mission aircraft in late March, the Navy said in a March 30 news release.

The Navy plans to integrate the Poseidon with its Broad Area Maritime Surveillance unmanned aircraft platform under development to provide the service with greater surveillance reach, the story said.

The Poseidon replaces the P-3C, which has performed more than 50 years of service.
