Army seeks more mature network technologies for next NIE

The Army's Systems of Systems Integration Directorate wants industry sources with mature technologies that can enhance network systems capabilities to participate in its next Network Integration Evaluation exercise scheduled for April and May 2012 at Fort Bliss, Texas, and White Sands Missile Range, N.M., the Army said Oct. 13.

Through a second sources-sought notice, the Army asked industry for additional technologies to test at the NIE 12.2 event that will fill specific gaps in the existing and evolving set of networked equipment, such as multichannel radio, small form factor, tactical router and others.

The deadline for white paper submissions is Oct. 31, 2011.
