Navy integrated warfare office awards support deal

Services include project and financial management, foreign military sales aid

Alion Science and Technology Corp. has won a five-year, $200 million delivery order to provide professional support services to the Navy Program Executive Office - Integrated Warfare Systems.

Awarded under the NAVSEA SeaPort Enhanced contract, Alion will perform project management, financial management, foreign military sales services, acquisition management and configuration management for the Navy PEO-IWS’ combat systems, according to a company announcement released today.

Services also include support for the acquisition, production and delivery of combat systems such as the Aegis Weapon System and the Ship Self-Defense System, as well as support for the development and integration of combat systems for a variety of ship classes, including aircraft carriers, amphibious, littoral combatant ships and Coast Guard vessels.

Alion’s partners include BAE Systems, ICI and Northrop Grumman Corp.
