LandWarNet to optimize strategy
Alion to offer advice on long-term fiscal and program priorities
Alion Science and Technology Corp. will provide technical support for Army’s LandWarNet program under a new $3.1 million task order.
Alion will furnish services and expertise to the Army LandWarNet and Battle Command Directorate to help the Army Deputy Chief of Staff establish and advance network and battle command capabilities, company officials said this week. The scope of work includes analysis, technical engineering, project and configuration management, quality assurance and staff level research, the officials said.
Among the project’s goals are to enhance strategic planning, conduct systems analysis, optimize fiscal resources and offer program management recommendations, the company said.
LandWarNet is an Army program that seeks to establish a standardized set of warfighting capabilities across the Army’s computer networks and communications processes.
The Army awarded the task order through the Battle Command Support Services contract program.
