Navy combat aviation gets program support
Contractor to assist with data collection and analysis
CACI International Corp. will continue assisting the Navy with aviation combat training under a $30 million contract.
Under the contract, the company will furnish management, technical, data analysis and information technology services to the Chief of Naval Air Training, CACI officials said today. One of the objectives is to help the agency refine and improve the way it collects and analyzes information. The support effort covers the entire process used by the Navy to manage aviation training for its officer and enlisted personnel, the officials said.
The award is a key part of CACI’s knowledge management business, the officials said.
The Naval Air Training Command prepares pilots and aviation support personnel for duty is responsible for deploying them to the Joint Forces for missions around the globe. The Chief of Naval Air Training prepares about 1,800 pilots and military flight officers and 2,000 enlisted aircrew students for duty each year. The program includes Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard students, and some students from other nations.
