JITC adds new products to approved list

The Defense Information Systems Agency’s Joint Interoperability Test Command has added several products from Redcom Laboratories to its Defense Switched Network Approved Products List.

Redcom’s Slice, Slice 2100 and High Density Exchange (HDX) digital switching system Version 3.0 earned JITC certification for Deployable Voice Exchange. HDX Version 3.0 also received certification as a Small End Office.

Slice 2100 and HDX Version 3.0 combine voice-over-IP and time-division multiplexing call management in a platform powered by Redcom’s TranSip technology, company officials said. TranSip delivers secure VOIP via an integrated Session Initiation Protocol call manager with IP trunking, media gateway and media gateway controller capabilities, the company said. TranSip also connects multitechnology networks and provides a secure link for joint, NATO and coalition forces.
