Issa, Cummings will lead House oversight committee

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) will be in charge of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee as its chairman, with Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) as the ranking Democrat in the next Congress.

Issa has been the ranking Republican on the committee since 2009. Cummings is a senior member of the committee and has served on the subcommittees that deal with the federal workforce and domestic policy.
