Air Force buying more armed Reapers

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems was awarded a $125.5 million contract for 10 MQ-9 modified Block 1 aircraft by the Air Force. The armed Reapers, which are based on the Predator unmanned surveillance aircraft, will be built at General Atomics’ facility in Poway, Calif.  Work is planned for completion by Nov. 28, 2014.  The contracting activity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
