Army stays course for battle command support
Contractor to focus on technical, logistics and program needs
CACI International Inc. will continue furnishing technical, logistics and business support services for Army battle command systems under a $100 million task order.
Under the task order, CACI will be responsible for software development, fielding, and training for the Battle Command products, the officials said. The company also will provide program management support.
The Army Program Executive Office Command, Control and Communications oversees the Battle Command family of products and systems. The two-year deal has an eight-month option.
Battle command systems help commanders make informed decisions by rapidly assimilating data. They enable commanders to access and share data, achieve situational awareness and synchronize warfighting systems.
CACI is headquartered in Arlington, Va.
