Navy's ONE-NET to receive IT network assistance
$29 million award calls for overseas work in Asia region
CSC will assist the Navy with information technology services under a one-year task order that has an estimated total value of $29 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will continue providing the Naval Network Warfare Command with IT services that support enterprise network operations, infrastructure and information assurance services, company officials said.
The work also includes legacy-to-enterprise transition support for classified and unclassified networks at various locations in the Far East, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Guam.
The task order from the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center in Norfolk, Va., was awarded under the General Services Administration’s Schedule 70 contract.
It calls for CSC to provide operations, maintenance and management support to the Navy’s Outside the Continental United States Enterprise Network (ONE-NET) in the Far East.
ONE-NET is an essential building block of the future networking environment for which the Navy plans to integrate its land- and sea-based networks to create unparalleled operational capabilities for the cyber warfighter, said Austin Yerks, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector Defense Group.
The contract follows another ONE-NET task order awarded to CSC in 2005 under GSA’s Applications ’N’ Support for Widely Diverse End-User Requirements contract.
C4 Planning Solutions LLC, of Blythe, Ga., is teaming with CSC on the project.
